Training grounds and logistics routes are currently being established across Belarus. Ukrainian authorities are monitoring the situation and any potential movements of Russian units.

Activity has been observed within Belarus relating to the establishment of training grounds and logistics routes that could be utilised by Russia. This was reported by Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

According to him, Belarus continues to develop infrastructure and cooperation with Russia. He noted that the country has not ceased to support Russia.

At the same time, as of now, Russia does not have sufficient forces on Belarusian territory that could pose a threat to Ukraine. However, the infrastructure that has been created could be used at any moment.

Andriy Demchenko emphasised that Ukrainian intelligence units, the Ministry of Defence and the State Border Guard Service are monitoring the situation. The movement of Russian units will not go unnoticed.

He added that Ukraine’s task is to counter any attempts at invasion and to respond to possible provocations, particularly near the state border.

It was previously reported that a balloon, which entered Ukrainian airspace from Belarusian territory, was used as a relay to amplify the signal of Russian equipment during attacks.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also noted that specific activity on the part of Belarus had been recorded on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.
