Footballer's house near Kyiv sold by scammers
As written by ThePublic.info, this is reported by «Court Reporter» with reference to the court ruling.
The Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv region has been investigating the fraudulent seizure of a residential building since September this year.
The victim owner told the police that from 2011 to the end of 2021, he professionally played football in Ukrainian clubs. During his professional career, he obtained Ukrainian citizenship and in 2020 bought a house worth about 700 thousand US dollars. At the end of 2021, the footballer left Ukraine and continued working in Brazil. But after some time, he found out that his house in Kyiv region was illegally sold to an unknown person.
According to documents, in December 2023, the house was sold on behalf of the owner by his representative under a power of attorney, certified by a third secretary for consular affairs of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Belgium. But the footballer insists that he did not sign any purchase and sale agreements or powers of attorney for the disposal of property.
From the Ukrainian citizen's international passport and the Brazilian citizen's international passport in the name of the footballer, it appears that he has never crossed the border with Belgium. The Ukrainian Embassy in the Kingdom of Belgium reported that the victim did not contact them for notarization procedures and that no power of attorney was certified there for him.
The house was recognized as material evidence and was seized by the court. Its owner is listed in the real estate registry as a man whose full namesake has a LinkedIn account and calls himself a sports analyst.
It may be about Junior Moraes. It is well known that Brazilian Junior Moraes signed a three-year contract with Donetsk "Metallurg" in February 2011, and played in the Ukrainian Premier League from 2012. During this time, he played for several Ukrainian teams – "Metallurg", "Dynamo", and "Shakhtar". After obtaining Ukrainian citizenship in March 2019, the forward debuted for the Ukrainian national team. In 2022, he transferred to the Brazilian "Corinthians".
