Due to Russian attacks, Ukraine may import electricity in winter
About this, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated during a press conference with the European Union High Representative, Kaja Kallas, reports ThePublic.info.
"We expect problems with electricity. We may need to import electricity due to one or two attacks. And we always use this opportunity during winter. And this opportunity is open to us," he said.
In addition, according to him, there are currently no issues with gas supplies; the question is — where to find enough funds for its purchase.
"There are partners willing to supply without immediate payment requirements — in particular Norway and EU countries, as well as suppliers from the Middle East region, on whom we relied last winter. The main task now is to ensure funding; we believe that it can be found," the president noted.
