Current electricity tariffs for domestic customers will remain unchanged until October
This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal.
In addition, the preferential tariff of 2.64 UAH per kWh remains in place for homes with electric heating and for homes without gas supply or district heating.
“The extension of these special obligations is a consistent state policy to support people during wartime, to safeguard their well-being and strengthen energy resilience,” Shmyhal stated.
The minister stated that the government is continuing to work with market participants to prepare power generation facilities for the autumn-winter period. Shmyhal has set the task of securing resources not only for restoration but also for building up equipment reserves.
Options are being explored, ranging from rapid procurement through the Energy Support Fund to utilising decommissioned equipment from partners. The focus is also on stockpiling energy resources, the minister noted.
