As it became known, as a result of the shooting, two people died: employees of the auto repair shop were found dead with gunshot wounds inside the office premises.
According to police, a 33-year-old resident of Lviv District, who rented the auto repair shop premises, initially shot at the landlord – a 39-year-old Lviv resident, and then shot himself in the chest. Both died at the scene from their injuries.
At the scene of the tragedy, police found the murder weapon – a "Saga" carbine, which was sent for expert examination.
"We understand that there was a conflict between them. We are establishing the reasons. Most likely due to issues of dividing funds. The bodies will be sent for forensic examination to confirm our version. I want to emphasize that this version is not the only one; we are working on parallel versions. We see automatic weapons at the scene, a 'Saga' carbine. Recovered cartridges, recovered bullets. We see several shots. We see a shot to the chest, which may indicate suicide, based on the position of the body and the weapon. Another person has a shot to the head area," said investigator Taras Khanyk, providing details.
The Frankivsk District Prosecutor's Office of Lviv has initiated two criminal proceedings — for intentional murder and suicide.
