"Twenty on NACP": wiretapping in the "Energoatom" case revealed a possible bribe, the Agency responded
The National Agency on Corruption Prevention has initiated an official investigation following the materials published by NABU regarding a corruption scheme in the energy sector.
"In connection with the public resonance caused by the published NABU materials, which mention NACP, we inform you that an official investigation was initiated on November 10, 2025, and an official request has been sent to NABU to obtain the relevant information," – the statement reads.
It is also noted that the Public Council under NACP published a statement demanding such actions and promptly received a response.
NACP confirms its readiness for maximum cooperation with the public, media, law enforcement agencies, and other parties.
The NABU recordings recorded that in May 2025, "Tenor," also known as, according to media reports, the head of the security division of "Energoatom" Dmytro Basov, likely delivered a bribe of $20,000 to NACP, stated the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Anti-Corruption Activities, Anastasia Radina.
"Together with colleagues, I am registering a bill on an urgent independent audit of NACP." Considering the information from NABU recordings, as well as the fact that the immediate conduct of an audit is a recommendation of the latest European Commission report, the time for hesitation is over," – she announced.
