Employers are increasingly offering job placements: what has changed in the labour market
Job vacancies with exemption from conscription
Over the past year, the number of job vacancies on the OLX Robota platform offering protection from mobilisation has risen by 25 per cent, whilst the number of applications for such roles has increased by 28 per cent.

This is according to a labour market study by the "OLX Robota" platform.

Where are the most vacancies with the option to book?

Employers offer the most vacancies with the option to book in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Lviv, Odesa and Zaporizhzhia regions. The Ivano-Frankivsk, Volyn and Zakarpattia regions also feature in the top ten.

The Zakarpattia region leads in terms of median salaries, with employers offering 50,000 hryvnias per month. Next come the Ivano-Frankivsk and Volyn regions (45,000 hryvnias each), the Ternopil region (43,000), the Rivne region (42,000), the Lviv region (40,000) and the Kyiv region (38,000 hryvnias).

The lowest median salaries were recorded in the Kharkiv region – 28,000 hryvnias – and the Chernivtsi region – 25,650 hryvnias.

Which professions offer the chance to book in advance

Job vacancies are most commonly offered to drivers, construction workers, porters, general labourers, sales assistants, car mechanics, welders, cashiers and storekeepers. It is precisely these vacancies that also receive the most responses from jobseekers.

Among individual professions, the highest salaries are offered to plasterers – over 101,000 hryvnias a month. Also among the highest-paid are façade workers (97,500 hryvnias), bodywork repairers (87,5 thousand), bricklayers (82,5 thousand), tilers (72,5 thousand) and long-distance lorry drivers (70 thousand hryvnias). At the same time, the lowest salaries are offered to nurses, cleaners and cashiers.

As Maria Abdullina, head of the OLX Jobs division, noted, the option to reserve a position is most often offered by companies in the critical infrastructure, manufacturing, construction, logistics and transport sectors.

According to her, it is precisely in these sectors that there has been a long-standing labour shortage, which is why employers are competing for staff not only by offering the option to book shifts, but also through the level of pay.
