This week, volunteers from the organisation ‘Skhid SOS’, in collaboration with ‘Ukrzaliznytsia’ and staff from the Regional State Administration, facilitated the evacuation of 125 residents of the Donetsk region who were under constant threat

This has been reported on Ukrzaliznytsia’s officialTelegram channel

Who was rescued?

Among those evacuated were 11 people with reduced mobility who required special care and technical support during transport. Sixteen pets also travelled to safety with their owners, for whom the railway staff created the necessary conditions.

People from dangerous areas of the Donetsk region were taken in across various parts of Ukraine. The new homes for the evacuees were:

  • Lviv, Kyiv and Vinnytsia;

  • Poltava, Berdychiv and Khmelnytskyi;

  • Ternopil, Yahotyn and Smila.

How do I register for evacuation? Please note that the state-organised evacuation of people from dangerous areas is completely free of charge. To leave, you must pre-register:

  1. Contact local volunteers.

  2. Register directly at the railway stations in Dnipro or Lozova.

Timely evacuation is a responsibility to yourself and your loved ones. Do not wait for the critical moment; choose safety today.
