This was reported by NOVYNI U, citing the Russian service of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
Fico called for negotiations and a ceasefire
Upon his arrival in the Russian capital, the Slovak Prime Minister stated that he considers the need for dialogue to be the main message for Vladimir Putin. According to Fico, any ceasefire is better than a continuation of hostilities.
“I believe it is a hundred times better to sit down at the table and negotiate,” the TASS news agency quoted the prime minister as saying.
He also stated that he supports any form of ceasefire.
Poland and the Baltic states did not allow Fico’s plane to pass
According to media reports, Poland and the Baltic states did not grant permission for the Slovak prime minister’s plane to fly through their airspace en route to Russia. As a result, the route to Moscow was agreed via the Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden and Finland.
