General Staff confirms damage to Maikop airfield in Russia
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported confirmed strikes by the Ukrainian Defence Forces on the infrastructure of a military airfield near the town of Maikop on the night of 25 December.
Maykop military airfield is located in the Republic of Adygea. According to preliminary data, the target was hit and a fire broke out at the facility. The final results of the attack are being clarified.
In addition, Ukrainian attack drones hit a repair unit of the 143rd motorised rifle regiment of the Russian Federation near the temporarily occupied village of Truzhenka, Donetsk region. Damage assessment is ongoing.
The General Staff also confirmed the results of a previous attack on the Belbek airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Radar station 96K6 and communication station P 419 were destroyed, and radar 55Zh6T was damaged.
