Over the past day, 144 combat clashes were recorded on the front line. The Defence Forces inflicted significant losses on the enemy in terms of manpower and equipment.

The 1,426th day of large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in an operational report as of 08:00 on 19 January 2026. Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy's advance, inflicting significant losses on them.

Over the past day, 144 combat clashes were recorded on the front line. Russian troops carried out 112 air strikes on the positions of the Defence Forces and populated areas, dropping 316 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy used 8,156 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,875 shellings, 70 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.

Air strikes were carried out, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Khvylia, Mechetne, Pokrovske in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as Verkhnia Tersa, Zhovta Krucha, Tavriiske, Vozdvyzhivka, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Dolynka, Svoboda, Rizdvyanka and Zirnytsia in the Zaporizhzhia region.

In response, the Ukrainian Air Force, missile forces and artillery struck 13 areas where enemy personnel and equipment were concentrated, as well as a command and observation post and an electronic warfare station.

In the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, there was one combat engagement, the enemy carried out two air strikes and 99 shellings. In the South Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian troops stopped 10 attacks in the areas of Vovchansk, Starytsia, and in the direction of Grafskyi, Nesternyi, and Kruglyi.

In the Kupiansk direction, five attacks were recorded, which the Defence Forces repelled near Pishchane and in the direction of Kurylivka, Petropavlivka and Borivska Andriivka. In the Lyman direction, the enemy made four attempts to break through the defences in the Yampil area and in the direction of Stavky and Oleksandrivka.

In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks near Pazen and in the direction of Rai-Oleksandrivka. In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian troops carried out 17 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbinivka, Ivanopil, Rusyne Yar, Kleban-Byk, and in the directions of Berestok, Stepanivka, Sofiivka, and Torske. In the Pokrovsk direction, the Defence Forces stopped 50 enemy assaults near Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Zatyshche, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Chervonyi Lyman, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetsk, and in the direction of Serhiivka, Filia, Kucherevy Yar, and Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out five attacks in the direction of Ivanivka, Novyi Zaporizhzhia, and Radisne. In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 21 attacks in the areas of Huliaipole, Zeleny, and in the direction of Sviatopetrivka, Varvarivka, and Dobropillia. In the Orikhiv direction, two combat clashes took place near Plavni. In the Dnipro direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions.

In the Volyn and Polissya directions, there were no signs of the enemy forming strike groups.

Over the past day, Russian troops lost 1,020 personnel. The Defence Forces also destroyed two tanks, three armoured combat vehicles, 39 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, 765 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles, 170 vehicles and one piece of special equipment.
