American philanthropist Howard Buffett visited the frontline communities near Kupiansk and joined the evacuation of civilians. With the support of his foundation, more than 200 residents of the Kharkiv region have been rescued

American businessman and philanthropist Howard Buffett, together with a special police unit, the White Angel, visited the frontline areas of the suburb of Kupyanka, which are constantly under Russian shelling. During the trip, the evacuation of civilians continued.

Police in Kharkiv region use armoured vehicles provided by the Buffett Foundation to evacuate people from dangerous areas. The vehicles have already evacuated more than 200 civilians from frontline communities in the region.

During the visit, Buffett personally joined the evacuation and saw with his own eyes the conditions in which law enforcement officers work. Police officers risk their lives every day to save civilians, including the elderly and families with children.

In gratitude for the support and partnership, law enforcement officers handed over the White Angel unit's chevron to the donor as a symbol of trust and joint struggle to save lives.
