On 9 June, American actor, director and musician Johnny Depp celebrated his 63rd birthday. The American actor has appeared in few films in recent years — and there is one reason for this. To mark the occasion, ThePublic takes a look at what the star of "Pirates of the Caribbean" looks like today and what is known about his personal life.

What Johnny Depp looks like now

The birthday boy was recently spotted on the set of the film "Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol" with Andrea Riseborough, which is due for release later this year.

Johnny was wearing a blue coat and sported long grey sideburns. Fans didn’t immediately recognise their idol beneath the make-up. This will be his first big-budget film in four years following the 2022 trial in which the actor was accused of domestic violence against his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard.

Apart from his appearance in the French film "The Favourite", the major studios had written Johnny off for years.

The birthday boy occasionally posts photos of himself on Instagram.

Johnny Depp’s personal life: what is known

Although the star of *The Rum Diary* has had his fair share of flings, he is currently putting dating on hold whilst continuing to recover from his high-profile divorce from Amber Heard.

"Johnny has a stronger relationship with his guitar than with any woman right now, and he’s fine with that," says an insider.

However, the actor knows that he is actually more of a "serial monogamist". So "if he does start a relationship with someone, it will be for the long haul".

Four years ago, the birthday boy finalised his long and scandalous divorce from actress Amber Heard. She accused her ex of domestic violence, but the court acquitted Johnny at the time.

In 2018, Amber wrote an article for The Washington Post in which she claimed she had been abused by Depp. In March 2019, he filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife, seeking $50 million in damages. Subsequently, the actress filed a counterclaim against Johnny for $100 million.

In the end, Amber paid $1 million for defamation and for ruining Depp’s career.

Even earlier, the birthday boy had been in a long-term relationship with Vanessa Paradis, who bore him two children — a daughter, Lily-Rose, and a son, Jack.

The anonymous power of Telegram: how regional public groups in Podillia are influencing the war, politics and public opinion

During the war, anonymous Telegram channels have ceased to be merely a source of news and gossip. They have become a tool of influence: they are used to spread panic, disseminate dubious information, undermine state institutions and shape the political agenda. The state is already attempting to establish at least basic rules for Telegram. Bill No. 11115 has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada. Its logic is simple: if a platform has a massive influence on public sentiment, it must have identifiable owners and be held accountable for its content.

The Rada has passed a controversial law on judges’ declarations

On 9 June, the Verkhovna Rada adopted Bill No. 13165-2 on integrity declarations and family ties of judges in its entirety. The document bears a European integration label, but has drawn criticism from experts due to the absence of a provision allowing for the temporary involvement of independent international experts in the verification of Supreme Court judges’ declarations.
