Canada to provide Ukraine with new military aid worth 300 million Canadian dollars

Canadian Defence Minister David McGuinty told reporters that the new military aid package will amount to 300 million Canadian dollars, equivalent to approximately 220 million US dollars.
According to him, this funding is part of a broader $2 billion aid package to Ukraine. Most of this package was already included in the state budget adopted in November last year.
In addition, Canada plans to impose sanctions on 100 vessels that are part of Russia's so-called "shadow fleet."
