Kazhan announced her scandalous split with the Jerry Heil label and explained the reasons behind it.

A conflict between singer Kazhanna and the music label NOVA MUSIC, co-founded by Jerry Heil, is gaining momentum online. The artist has explained in detail for the first time what led to the termination of their collaboration and why she considers the termination of the contract to be fair.

According to the singer, one of the key problems was the lack of transparent financial reporting. Kazhanna noted that she did not have access to actual income figures, as all accounting documentation was in the label's possession.

She explained that she knows the cost of sound production and the amount of her own payments, but did not see the full financial picture. The artist also questioned the actual distribution of profits, emphasising that she was promised reports, but this never happened.

As specified, at the beginning of their collaboration in 2023, Kazhan and NOVA MUSIC signed an agreement under which 70% of the net profit went to the label and 30% to the artist. The label had previously announced these terms on its Instagram.

The singer also stated that she did most of the work herself or with the help of friends, often without the involvement of the label's team. This included creating images, styling, photo shoots, strategic planning, arranging interviews and shows, directing concerts and finding costumes.

In addition, Kazhanna spoke about delays in payments and a difficult financial situation. According to her, she had to remind them about her salary for weeks, and at times she was left without funds. When the artist publicly wrote that she was looking for a job, she said she was asked to delete the post due to reputational risks for the label. As alternatives, she was offered either to borrow money or to "wait until things take off."

The performer noted that she had repeatedly initiated dialogue with the management of NOVA MUSIC and offered budgetary and specific solutions to improve cooperation, but, according to her, she only heard general promises without any real action.

After deciding to end the collaboration, Kazhan tried to resolve the situation peacefully, but, according to her, it was not possible to reach an agreement without conflict. She emphasised that she sought an honest and mutual termination of the contract with a subsequent public explanation of the situation.

Earlier, the singer also claimed moral pressure and a toxic atmosphere while working with the label, called the contract "slavery," accused NOVA MUSIC of non-payment of royalties, and reported attempts to impose new agreements and unfounded debts.

Amid the public scandal, the label terminated its contract with the artist ahead of schedule. It is reported that all issues regarding the termination of cooperation will be resolved by the parties in court.
