The fuel cashback scheme will start on 20 March: how to take part
This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
The scheme offers the following cashback:
- 15% — on diesel;
- 10% — on petrol;
- 5% — on autogas.
According to the Prime Minister, this will save between 2 and 11 UAH per litre.
The maximum cashback amount for fuel is up to 1,000 UAH per person per month.
The scheme will run until 1 May 2026 as part of the ‘National Cashback’ programme.
A list of petrol stations participating in the scheme will be available on the scheme’s official website.
If you are already using the ‘National Cashback’ scheme, the cashback is credited automatically when you pay by card.
Important: cashback is credited only when fuel is actually paid for at a petrol station.
If fuel is purchased in advance via petrol station mobile apps or fuel wallets, cashback is not credited.
How to join the ‘Fuel Cashback’ programme
Open a payment card with one of the partner banks.
Select the cards you wish to use for purchases and authorise the bank to share transaction details from these cards at participating retailers.
Install or update the ‘Diya’ app.
In the ‘Services’ section, select the ‘National Cashback’ payment card from any partner bank.
Important:
- cashback is only credited for cashless payments;
- The petrol station must be a participant in the programme;
- cashback is credited only for fiscal receipts.
- If the receipt is not submitted to the State Tax Service system, cashback will not be credited.
When will the fuel cashback be credited?
The accrued cashback is displayed in the ‘Diya’ app.
Payment is made by the end of the month following the purchase.
For example: cashback for purchases made in March will be paid by the end of April.
What can you spend fuel cashback on
Funds accrued as cashback can be spent on:
- paying for utilities;
- Ukrainian-produced food;
- purchasing Ukrainian-made medicines and medical supplies;
- postal services;
- books;
- donations to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
