Cybercriminals stole data of over 8,000 children attending kindergartens in London
The group calling itself Radiant has confirmed its claims by publishing the names, photographs, home addresses, and contact information of the families of 10 children who, in their opinion, attended one of the 18 Kido nurseries in Greater London. This was reported by ThePublic.info citing Reuters.
"Our next steps will be to publish another 30 'profiles' of each child and 100 staff members," states a message on the Radiant website, where the sources of the information were disclosed.
Kido International did not respond to Reuters' electronic inquiry for comments. In their statement, the London police reported that no arrests had been made.
"The investigation is ongoing and is in the early stages at the cybercrime department of the metropolitan police," the statement said.
The cybercriminals who hacked the nursery system through an encrypted messenger claimed they had been in Kido's networks for weeks. When asked where they are located, the attackers responded that they are in Russia, although they did not provide any evidence to support this claim.
