Following a night-time missile and drone strike, emergency repair work is continuing in a number of regions and restrictions remain in place.

During the night and early morning, Russian troops carried out a combined attack using missiles and drones on energy infrastructure facilities in several regions of Ukraine. This was reported by the National Energy Company Ukrenergo.

As a result of the shelling, as well as combat operations near the front line, as of this morning, some consumers were left without electricity in the Odesa, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Poltava regions.

Emergency repair work has already begun wherever the security situation allows. Energy workers are working to restore damaged equipment to operation as quickly as possible.

In addition, due to the consequences of previous massive attacks, electricity consumption restrictions are being enforced in most regions of the country. Power restriction schedules are in place for industrial enterprises, and hourly power cuts are in place for the population.

It is recommended to check the official websites of distribution system operators (oblenergo) in the relevant regions for information on the timing of possible power outages at specific addresses.

Ukrenergo urges consumers in regions where power outage schedules are in effect to use electricity sparingly. In particular, they advise against turning on several powerful appliances at the same time and, if possible, to shift energy-intensive processes to the night-time period — after 11 p.m.

Russia is facing mounting pressure due to the situation on the front line, economic problems and strikes by Ukrainian drones on its territory. European officials suggest that Moscow’s increasingly aggressive rhetoric may be linked to attempts to restart the negotiation process on its own terms.
