The Russian authorities plan to hand over control of Mariupol and the surrounding region to groups from Chechnya. According to underground sources, additional Akhmat forces are already being transferred to the city, with the main focus on industrial assets.

The Russian authorities intend to transfer the resources of occupied Mariupol under the full control of Kadyrov's forces in exchange for the loyalty of the Chechen leadership. This was reported by the ATEŞ partisan movement on Telegram.

According to the movement's agents in the occupied city, Moscow plans to effectively hand over Mariupol and the surrounding region to the control of groups from Chechnya. Additional Akhmat units are already being brought into the city, tasked with finalising Grozny's monopoly over local resources.

ATESH notes that Kadyrov's forces are primarily interested in the industrial potential of the destroyed Mariupol. With the Kremlin's permission, the city is effectively being handed over to be plundered in exchange for political loyalty, with no consideration for the interests of local residents or even ordinary Russian collaborators.

Local residents are increasingly noticing a large number of Caucasian soldiers with "Akhmat" insignia on the streets. They drive around in expensive SUVs without license plates or with fake plates, which, according to the underground, indicates a sense of complete impunity and the status of the new informal masters of the region.

ATESH emphasised that it is closely monitoring the locations of these armed formations and the routes taken by their elite vehicles.
