Moldovan President Maia Sandu condemned the massive Russian attack on Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure that took place on the night of 7 March.

She wrote about this on social media (Twitter).

According to Sandu, Russian strikes on cities and civilian targets are war crimes that require a clear response from the international community.

"Yesterday's Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure are war crimes. Moldova unreservedly condemns them," the president wrote.

She also stressed that the international community must remain focused on supporting Ukraine.

"The international community must remain focused on Ukraine. Now is not the time to hesitate," Maia Sandu said.

The Moldovan president has repeatedly expressed her support for Ukraine since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion and has called on partners to increase international pressure on the aggressor country.
