As a result of the night-time strike, residential buildings, cars and business premises were set on fire, and the victims were hospitalised.

On the night of 2 February, Cherkasy was hit by a massive attack by Russian strike drones. The fall of UAVs and debris caused numerous fires in the city, injuring four people. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES).

According to rescuers, fires were reported at several addresses. Residential buildings, cars, a private enterprise building, and garages were on fire. The attack also damaged a petrol station and a number of vehicles.

SES units quickly arrived at the scene and completely extinguished all fires. During the rescue operation, emergency workers saved three people, who were taken to medical facilities with injuries.

State Emergency Service psychologists worked at the scene of the emergency, providing assistance to victims and people who had experienced stress due to the attack.

Earlier, the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets, reported that at least four civilians were injured as a result of the night attack on the region, and more detailed information about the consequences of the strike is being clarified.
