Funds from the state budget were allocated to support local communities and finance their priority needs.

In February 2026, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine (Ministry of Finance) transferred 18.4 billion hryvnias in interbudgetary transfers to the general fund of local budgets.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

The ministry noted that the funds were transferred in accordance with budget legislation, and the amount of funding was 100% of the state budget expenditures planned for February.

In particular, the following amounts were allocated to local budgets:

a basic subsidy — 2.6 billion hryvnias (100% of the plan);
additional subsidies — UAH 1.7 billion (100%).

The Ministry of Finance also reported that the balance of funds in the accounts of local budgets and budgetary institutions under general and special funds as of 1 March 2026 amounted to UAH 113.1 billion.

This is UAH 17.9 billion more than at the beginning of 2026.

These resources enable local authorities to continue financing the priority needs of communities, including social programmes, infrastructure maintenance and other important expenditures at the local level.
