Over the past 24 hours, there have been 206 combat engagements on the front line. The heaviest fighting has been reported in the Pokrovsk sector.

As of 08:00 on 20 April 2026, the 1,517th day of the Russian Federation’s large-scale war against Ukraine is underway. Over the past 24 hours, 206 combat engagements were recorded, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian forces repelled 42 enemy assaults.

There were 33 attacks in the Huliaipole sector. In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 21 attacks.

Ten attacks were recorded in both the Southern Slobozhansky and Kupyansky sectors. In the Lyman sector, the enemy attempted to advance six times.

In the Prydniprovsk direction, Ukrainian units repelled five attacks; in the Sloviansk direction, four; and in the Oleksandrivsk direction, also four.

Two attacks were recorded in each of the Kramatorsk and Orikhiv sectors. In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, the enemy did not carry out active assault operations, but did conduct air strikes and shelling.

No signs of offensive formations have been detected in the Volyn and Polissya sectors.
