Russian troops launched more than a hundred strike UAVs from several directions, most of them Shahed-type.

On the night of 1 March, starting at 18:00 on 28 February, Russian troops carried out an attack with 123 strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other models. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The launches were carried out from the territory of the Russian Federation — from the Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk regions, as well as from Gvardeyskoye in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. About 70 of the drones used were Shahed-type UAVs.

The Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces were involved in repelling the air attack.
