New scam schemes: using artificial intelligence, malicious actors ask for money as a loan
Security experts warn of a new type of scam in which malicious actors use artificial intelligence technologies to contact victims with a request to borrow money.

Malicious actors gain access to Telegram user accounts. Subsequently, with the help of artificial intelligence, scammers create and send short voice messages to all contacts, requesting loans of money. This information is provided by thepublic.info citing the Main Department of the National Police in Kyiv region

The second common scam involves the purchase of dietary supplements. Scammers impersonate SBU officers and claim that victims purchased dietary supplements online, and the funds from the purchase have gone to the aggressor country, which is financing military aggression against Ukraine. The perpetrators then threaten that criminal proceedings will be initiated against the victims, but to avoid this, they must provide the available funds for verification.

Many reports from victims also indicate that their money was stolen during calls supposedly from the "bank security service." Under various pretenses, these scammers steal the client's personal data or advise transferring funds to a so-called "white" card to secure the money in the bank.

Police warn: do not click on unknown links, do not disclose any data of your payment card and passwords.
