Oleg Tyagnibok, a former Member of Parliament and leader of the All-Ukrainian Union ‘Svoboda’, suffered a concussion whilst serving on the front line. The vehicle in which he was travelling with his comrades was attacked by a Russian FPV drone

This is according to Slovo i Dilo.

Tyagnibok was injured by a drone strike

According to Knysh, the incident occurred whilst travelling through the garrison area. A Russian FPV drone struck the vehicle in which Tyahnybok was travelling with military personnel. The military official noted that thanks to the driver’s actions and the vehicle’s high speed, a tragedy was averted.

“Thank God that this news turned out to be distressing rather than tragic. Thanks to the driver’s skill and the speed of the vehicle, the injury is not life-threatening, but it is a severe concussion with all the associated consequences – including barotrauma and concussion,” said Knysh.

Oleg Tyagnibok has been given the necessary medical care, and his condition is being monitored by doctors.

What is known about Tyahnybok’s service

Following the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Oleg Tyagnibok joined the army. In 2025, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel and took command of the ‘Dyke Pole’ unmanned systems battalion, part of the 128th Separate Heavy Mechanised Brigade.
