Olga Sumskaya has publicly addressed her sister Natalia, with whom she has not spoken for a long time
Olga Sumskaya shared this in her Instagram Stories.
Olga Sumskaya shared a rare family photo with her older sister Natalia and publicly addressed her on her birthday.
The day before, Natalia Sumskaya celebrated her 70th birthday. To mark the occasion, her younger sister posted a shared archive photo on social media, simply captioning it “Happy birthday!” and tagging Natalia.
The photo shows the sisters when they were still teenagers. Natalia is standing in the foreground, and Olga is behind her. The post emphasises that this is a rare archive photo that the actresses’ fans have hardly ever seen before.
The greeting attracted particular attention also because there has long been a rift between the sisters. Olga Sumskaya spoke publicly about the strained family relations back in 2019, although she did not reveal the specific reasons for the quarrel at the time.
At the end of last year, the actress also admitted that Natalia “doesn’t text her, doesn’t ring her, and doesn’t greet her when they meet”. According to Olga, this situation is painful for her, but she remains open to communication despite this.
Previously, Sumskaya had said she was ready to embrace her sister, extend a hand to her and offer sisterly warmth. Against this backdrop, the current public greeting can be seen as yet another gesture of reconciliation.
What is known about the sisters’ conflict
The article notes that the real reasons behind the conflict between Olga and Natalia Sumskaya have not been publicly disclosed.
At the same time, it is known that it was Olga who first spoke about the quarrel. Since then, the topic of their relationship has periodically resurfaced in the public sphere, particularly following the actress’s recent comments about the lack of communication with her sister.
As reported by ThePublic, Ukrainian singer Vitaliy Kozlovskyi shared some rare family content and, for the first time in a long while, showed his sister Olena. The artist explained that she had looked after him since childhood and remains the person closest to him today, whom he calls his “second mum”.
