The heating season in Kyiv will end on 24 March
This has been announced by the Kyiv City State Administration.
The city authorities made this decision in view of the weather conditions and the forecast for warmer weather, as well as the need to use energy resources efficiently.
From this date, residential buildings will begin to be disconnected. Social sector establishments — hospitals, maternity hospitals, schools and nurseries — will be disconnected upon individual requests from their managers.
The heating season in Ukraine began on 28 October, and in Kyiv on 29 October.
Forecasters said it was the coldest winter in the last 15 years — the average temperature was -4.0 °C. The coldest day was 10 February, when the temperature dropped to -20.2 °C.
