Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out one missile strike, more than 90 air strikes and deployed thousands of kamikaze drones. The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Pokrovsk and Kostyantynivka sectors.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported that, as of 08:00 on 15 May, the 1,542nd day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine is underway.

Over the past 24 hours, 257 combat engagements were recorded on the front line.

Russian troops carried out one missile strike using 55 missiles, as well as 95 air strikes, during which they dropped 323 guided bombs.

In addition, the Russian army deployed 8,517 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,884 attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions, including 82 using multiple launch rocket systems.

Air strikes were recorded, in particular, in the areas around the settlements of Fotovizh, Pustogorod, Budky and Vorozhba in the Sumy region.

According to the General Staff, the Ukrainian Air Force, missile forces and artillery struck two areas where enemy forces were concentrated, as well as another key Russian military target.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Russian forces carried out three air strikes using seven guided bombs, conducted 97 shelling attacks and launched seven assault operations.

In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 14 attacks in the areas of Vovchanski Khutory, Lyman, Starytsia, and in the direction of Ternove, Radkivka and Izbytske.

In the Kupiansk direction, four attacks were recorded near Kurylivka, Novoplatonivka and Pishchane.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops attempted to breach the defences eight times in the areas of Drobysheve, Ozerny, Yampol, Dibrova and Stavky.

In the Sloviansk direction, Russian forces twice attempted to advance towards Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled one attack near Pryvillia.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian troops carried out 28 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopil, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, Toretske, Kuchero Yar and Novopavlivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 39 assaults in the areas of Novy Shakhov, Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Kotlyne, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Udachne and Molodetske, as well as in the direction of Bilytske, Vasylivka and Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian troops launched three attacks in the directions of Oleksandrohrad, Sichneve and Novohryhorivka.

In the Huliaipole sector, 25 attacks were recorded near Novozaporizhzhia, Zlagoda, Huliaipole, Sviatopetrivka, Dobropillia, Olenokostiantynivka, Charivne, Zaliznychne, Hirke and Huliaipole.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three attempts by Russian troops to advance in the areas of Shcherbakiv and Plavni.

In the Dnipro sector, Russian forces launched three attacks towards Antonivka, but were unsuccessful.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of Russian forces forming offensive groups were detected.

According to the General Staff, over the past 24 hours the Russian army lost 1,150 troops, four tanks, 12 armoured fighting vehicles, 32 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, seven ground-based robotic systems, 1,780 drones, 41 missiles, 185 vehicles and one piece of specialised equipment.
