Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have carried out hundreds of attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces and on Ukrainian towns and villages. The enemy remained most active in the Pokrovsk, Huliaipole and Lyman sectors.

The 1,562nd day of the Russian Federation’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 279 combat engagements were recorded on the front line over the past 24 hours.

Russian troops carried out three missile strikes and 74 air strikes, fired three missiles and dropped 232 guided aerial bombs. The enemy also deployed 10,221 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,435 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including 57 from multiple launch rocket systems.

Areas around the settlements of Lynove, Bachivsk and Sloboda in Sumy Oblast were subjected to air strikes.

In response, the Defence Forces’ aviation struck four command posts, eight areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, an artillery system, a drone control centre and another key occupier facility.

Two combat engagements took place in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. The enemy carried out two air strikes using five guided bombs and conducted 66 shelling attacks, two of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, Russian troops launched 11 attacks near Staritsa, Lyman, Vilcha, Izbytske and Okhrimivka.

In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled four attacks near Novoplatonivka, Podoly, and Kupiansk.

In the Lyman sector, 21 attempted advances were halted near Derylove, Drobysheve, Stavky, Lyman, Ozerny, Novoselivka and Yampil.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 19 attacks in the areas of Raï Oleksandrivka, Kalenyky, Riznykivka, Kryva Luka and Zakytne.

In the Kramatorsk sector, one enemy attack was recorded near Pryvillia.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the occupiers carried out 12 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopil, Rusyn Yar and Illinivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 43 assaults near Vilne, Kuchero-Yar, Kotlyne, Serhiivka, Vasylivka, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Novomykolaivka, Novopavlivka and Udachne.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy attempted to advance 14 times in the areas of Vorone, Voskresenka, Sichneve, Hrushevskyi, Verbove and Ternove.

In the Huliaipole sector, 37 attacks were recorded near Pryluky, Dobropillia, Tsvitkove, Solodke, Vozdvyzhivka, Zaliznychne, Olenokostyantynivka, Varvarivka, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, Zatyshshia and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy attempted to breach the defences five times in the areas of Shcherbakiv, Stepove, Kam’yanske and Stepnogorsk.

In the Dnipro direction, no offensive actions by Russian forces were recorded.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups were detected.

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army suffered losses of 1,300 personnel. The Ukrainian Defence Forces also destroyed four tanks, three armoured fighting vehicles, 75 artillery systems, four multiple launch rocket systems, 14 ground-based robotic systems, 2,111 unmanned aerial vehicles, 396 vehicles and three pieces of specialised equipment.
