The ATESH guerrilla group claimed responsibility for sabotage against military infrastructure in the St. Petersburg area.
Agents of the ATEŞ guerrilla movement reported sabotage in one of the districts of St. Petersburg, where Russia's key military and power infrastructure is concentrated. According to their information, a technical module of a telecommunications tower was destroyed during the operation, leading to serious disruptions in communications.
According to ATEŞ, the incident occurred near military-industrial facilities. This area is home to the Luch Radio-Electronic Equipment Repair Plant, the Russian FSB Institute, as well as units and training centres associated with the Navy and the Main Missile Artillery Directorate.
In addition, the Novosibirsk Cartridge Plant and a branch of the Kometa Corporation, a scientific and production centre working in the interests of the Russian Federation's defence complex, are located nearby. The partisan movement emphasises that such a concentration of facilities makes this area a critically important element of military and security infrastructure.
According to ATEH, disruptions to communications in such a hub directly affect data transmission, control systems and the coordination of security forces, even far from the front line. The movement emphasised that the deep rear no longer guarantees security for facilities that support the Russian military machine.
