Preparations for the heating season: the government has allocated 424 million hryvnias for modular boiler houses

The government has allocated 424.8 million hryvnias for the installation of existing modular boiler houses for distributed heat generation.

This was reported by Oleksii Kuleba, Minister for Community and Territorial Development.

A meeting was held at the government with regional military administrations, the General Staff and relevant ministries regarding the implementation of regional resilience plans and preparations for the upcoming heating season.

“Over the past week, the pace of engineering and technical protection of critical infrastructure facilities has increased by 20%. Most regions have improved their performance,” Kuleba said.

According to him, Kyiv and Cherkasy regions have fully completed the first preparatory stage. Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv and Odesa regions are showing accelerated progress.

The meeting also discussed the development of distributed heat generation. The government has allocated 424.8 million hryvnias for the installation of existing modular boiler units (MBUs).

The total requirement as of today is 228 BMKs with a capacity of almost 999 MW.

The government is also formulating decisions regarding water supply.

There are 26 special projects covering infrastructure protection, backup power supplies and autonomous solutions for major cities.
