Law enforcement officers established that over a year ago, the suspect began receiving assignments from Russian special services and reported their execution to the enemy.

This is reported by ThePublic.info citing the Telegram channel SBU.

"Investigators of the Security Service have gathered irrefutable evidence of state treason by the suspect in the murder of Ukrainian People's Deputy Andriy Parubiy. According to case materials, more than a year ago, the defendant, living in Lviv, was recruited by Russian special services. Since then, he has received hostile assignments and 'reported' their execution to the enemy," the message states.

Initially, he tracked and transmitted the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to his handlers, as well as attempted to determine the time and directions of train convoys with fuel. After verifying the agent's readiness to carry out a 'more complex' task, the Russian special service ordered him to kill Andriy Parubiy and financed the preparation for this crime.

To carry out the 'order,' the malicious actor monitored the daily schedule and routes of the People's Deputy. At the same time, according to investigators, the killer was preparing a plan to escape abroad after committing the murder.

Investigators of the Security Service informed the detainee of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed under martial law). The suspect is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with property confiscation.
