After Russian attacks, more than 700 residential buildings in Kyiv remain without heat
As of Wednesday, 28 January, 737 residential buildings in Kyiv remain without heating after a series of Russian attacks on electricity and heat supply facilities. The largest number of buildings without heat are concentrated in the Troieshchyna residential area. After a daily conference call on energy issues, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy clarified that heating problems have currently been reported in three districts of the capital.
The president stressed that repair crews are working around the clock, and specialists from almost all regions of the country have been brought in to help Kyiv. At the same time, he emphasised the need for faster management decisions at the city level to speed up restoration work.
The issue of heat supply was also discussed in relation to other regions. In particular, restoration work is continuing in the Dnipropetrovsk region after Russian strikes on energy infrastructure. According to the head of state, the necessary forces have been mobilised in the Synelnykivskyi and Kam'yans'kyi districts, as well as in Kryvyi Rih.
As of 28 January, 243 residential buildings in Kryvyi Rih remained without heating.
