Weather in Ukraine on 29 April 2026: frost and sleet
Cold weather in Ukraine on 29 April 2026, with rain, frost and possible sleet in some regions
Cold weather is set to persist in Ukraine on 29 April due to an air mass of Arctic origin. Forecasters are predicting night-time frosts and daytime precipitation, with rain mixed with sleet possible in the north and west.

This is according to a forecast by meteorologist Natalka Didenko.

A cold air mass of Arctic origin is lingering over Ukraine.

It is this mass that is causing the cold weather, night-time frosts and daytime precipitation in various regions of the country.

According to weather forecaster Natalka Didenko’s forecast, the gale-force winds in Ukraine will die down on 29 April.

However, the cold weather is set to continue for the time being.

Frosts are expected in Ukraine overnight.

The maximum daytime temperature will range from +7 to +10 degrees.

It will be slightly warmer in the south and south-east – from +9 to +13 degrees.

Precipitation is possible across almost the whole of Ukraine.

“It’s difficult to single out any part of Ukraine where it will be dry all day tomorrow, on Wednesday – there is a likelihood of precipitation almost everywhere. Moreover, in the north and west, rain is possible with wet snow,” warned Didenko.

So, on 29 April, Ukrainians should prepare for cold, wet and unsettled weather.

Despite the wind easing, sub-zero temperatures at night and wet snow in some regions remain the main weather risks of the day.
