More than ten explosions overnight: drone attack rocks Saratov and Engels
Night attack by good drones
At night, aviation restrictions were imposed in the region, and local residents reported a series of powerful explosions and sirens.

On the night of 19 January, the Saratov region of Russia was attacked by drones. After midnight, due to the threat of drones, the airports in Saratov and neighbouring Penza were temporarily suspended — the air harbours did not accept or dispatch flights.

Around 1 a.m., Saratov residents began reporting explosions: according to them, there were more than ten powerful blasts, and sirens and distant rumblings could be heard in the city and in Engels.

According to eyewitnesses, a local oil refinery may have been attacked. Restrictions at Saratov Airport were lifted only after 5 a.m. At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defence claimed to have destroyed 92 drones overnight, 29 of them over the Saratov region.
