Assisting in an apartment bombing was sentenced to 6 years in prison

As established during the investigation, no later than August 2024, the accused received a spam message on Telegram offering earning opportunities. He engaged in correspondence with an unidentified user and began receiving various tasks from him for monetary compensation.
In November 2024, the man agreed to transport a grenade hidden in the Poznyaky area near the lakes for $100. The customer suggested that he come up with a hiding place himself. The accused chose a stream near a fallen tree at the Sovi Stoves in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv. He left the grenade under the tree, took a photo of the location, and sent it to the customer.
As it later turned out, another person took this grenade from the hiding spot and used it to carry out a terrorist attack in a rented apartment in the Pechersk district of Kyiv*.
After the first task, the accused received a new one — to transport a larger cargo. He dug up a bag with TNT sticks, detonators, and grenades from the ground, brought everything to his home by taxi, and stored it until he was detained by the police. In court, he stated that he agreed to this due to difficult financial circumstances, explained that he lives with his mother and grandmother, and needed money for treatment.
The court took into account the sincere remorse of the accused, active assistance in the disclosure of the crime, and his attitude towards the consequences of his actions, and sentenced him to 6 years of imprisonment.
*On November 17, 2024, police arrived at a call regarding domestic violence in an apartment in the Pechersk district of Kyiv. According to the organizers' plan, law enforcement officers were supposed to blow themselves up at the entrance. However, they noticed the grenade in time and ran outside. According to case materials, this apartment was rented by unidentified persons in the name of a Moldovan citizen. The preparation of the crime lasted about five days. A man who had been repeatedly convicted since 2003 and served time was involved in the setup. He received the coordinates, found the grenade in the hiding spot, then bought a mobile phone, two video cameras, and a power device to organize a video broadcast, as the customer wanted to see the result.
In court, this man admitted his guilt. He said that the apartment was previously rented by unknown persons with whom he communicated on Telegram and who told him that a "very bad person" was to come there. For this "job," he was transferred $4,000 to an electronic wallet. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison.
