Selling amphetamine via Telegram: woman disguised her crime using a child
Prosecutors of the Halych District Prosecutor's Office of Lviv have sent an indictment to court against a 22-year-old woman accused of selling amphetamine, mephedrone, and cannabis. As ThePublic.info reports, citing the Office of the Prosecutor General, the investigation established that the accused used her own 5-year-old daughter to mask illegal activities — the child helped load parcels into mailboxes and accompanied her mother during the placement of "sets" in parks and near playgrounds.
According to the investigation, a resident of Poltava region was temporarily residing in a hostel in Lviv and there created a scheme for distributing narcotic substances via Telegram. She purchased the goods wholesale — by mail or in the form of "master-classes" — and then sold them to drug addicts. Customers sent payments to a cryptocurrency wallet, after which the woman either made a "set" or shipped the goods by mail. The distribution was carried out not only in Lviv but also in other regions, with an estimated monthly income of about 100,000 hryvnias.
To avoid detection, the accused frequently changed her place of residence. According to ThePublic.info, she involved her daughter in the process, as the child, due to her age, could not comprehend the nature of her mother's activities. Under the pretext of walks, the woman left narcotic substances in parks, forest belts, and near playgrounds.
During one of these "walks," law enforcement officers detained the woman immediately after she placed another "set." In a children's backpack, 25 packages of cannabis were found, and during a search, an additional 74 "sets," scales, and evidence materials were discovered. Additionally, two large batches of mephedrone weighing over 6.5 kg were seized.
The accused is charged with purchasing, storing for sale, and illegal sale of narcotic and psychotropic substances, including especially dangerous ones (Part 3, Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv Region.
