A missile strike on Merefa has claimed the lives of four people; there are also casualties
Russian forces launched a missile strike on Merefa in the Kharkiv region. Four people were killed and a further 16 were injured in the attack. This was reported by Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
Initial reports indicated one fatality and two casualties. The death toll subsequently rose to three. According to Synyegubov, the injured are receiving medical treatment.
The strike damaged the premises of a vehicle service centre. A private house and a car also caught fire. Other private and apartment buildings, four shops and a vehicle service centre were damaged.
The fire has been extinguished. Damage assessment is currently underway.
