A revolution in action: which tax services are set to go digital
The State Tax Service’s official website provides details of this major update.
The main aim of the project, on which tax officials are currently working in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, is to make paying taxes as simple as ordering a delivery. In the near future, via ‘Dii’, it will be possible not only to submit an income tax return, but also to receive a tax assessment notice or carry out a property reconciliation. This will allow every taxpayer to avoid unnecessary visits to government offices and paperwork, resolving all issues with a single click.
In addition to convenient services, there is further good news for businesses — a shift in the approach to inspections. Thanks to the introduction of a risk-based approach, the number of actual visits by inspectors has already fallen by a quarter compared to last year. Total control is a thing of the past: from now on, only those with genuine grounds for suspicion of violations will be audited. This allows honest businesses to operate without undue pressure and focus on growth.
A special tax support service is also being launched for those just starting their own business or who have received a grant. Consultants will assist entrepreneurs at every stage — from submitting an application to filing reports. Digitalisation and transparency are becoming the new standards of communication, where the individual and their comfort in dealing with the state come first.
