The Russian army has lost a further 970 troops in the past 24 hours

Total Russian military casualties in the war against Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion have exceeded 1.28 million. Over the past 24 hours, the number of casualties has risen by a further 970 soldiers.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from 24 February 2022 to 23 March 2026, the total combat losses of Russian forces amount to approximately 1,288,850 personnel, of whom 970 were lost in the past 24 hours.

The Russian army has also lost 11,794 tanks, including one over the past 24 hours; 24,268 armoured fighting vehicles, including five over the past 24 hours; 38,662 artillery systems, including 24 over the past 24 hours; and 1,695 multiple launch rocket systems, including one over the past 24 hours.

In addition, losses of 1,336 air defence systems, 435 aircraft and 350 helicopters have been recorded.

The number of tactical-level drones destroyed stands at 192,869, including 1,999 in the last 24 hours. A further 4,468 cruise missiles have been destroyed.

Russian forces’ losses include 33 ships or boats, two submarines, 84,775 vehicles and tankers, of which 136 were lost in the past 24 hours, as well as 4,098 units of specialised equipment, of which two were lost in the past 24 hours.
