A motorbike-mounted generator that does not trigger landmines. The Ministry of Defence has unveiled a new vehicle for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
This was reported by the agency’s press office.
The motorcycle is designed to transport personnel, weapons, small loads and to evacuate the wounded.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the main advantage of the MUL.E is its high off-road capability. Thanks to its wide off-road tyres and four-wheel-drive design, the bike can tackle muddy ground, sand, deep snow and marshy terrain.
Key features of the vehicle include:
- long-range autonomy;
- low visibility and quiet operation;
- high-performance electric motors;
- short deployment/retraction times;
- significant range and high top speed;
- excellent stability thanks to low ground pressure.
On a single full battery charge, the electric motorbike can cover almost 100 kilometres. In addition, it is capable of towing a trailer.
“Motorcycles currently remain one of the most essential vehicles on the front line, alongside pick-up trucks. Mobility on the front line directly affects the speed at which combat missions are carried out and the safety of military personnel,” the statement reads.
An additional, removable petrol-powered generator is also mounted on the frame. Service personnel can use it as a standalone power source for charging devices.
