Russian strikes on regions of Ukraine have resulted in the deaths and injuries of civilians
Over the past 24 hours, 868 strikes on 51 settlements have been recorded in the Zaporizhzhia region. According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration, 11 people were injured, including two children and nine adults. Russian forces carried out 30 air strikes. There were 56 reports of damage to residential buildings, vehicles and infrastructure.
In the Kherson region, one person was killed and 12 others were injured as a result of Russian shelling, including one child. According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the regional state administration, four high-rise buildings, nine private houses, farm buildings, an ambulance and private cars were damaged. Eight people were evacuated from the liberated communities.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian forces attacked three districts more than 20 times with drones and shelled them with artillery. According to Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the regional military administration, a fire broke out in the Petropavlivka community of the Synelnykivskyi district, damaging infrastructure. In the Nikopolskyi district, the communities of Nikopol, Marhanetska, Pokrovska and Chervonohryhorivska came under fire. Infrastructure, a fire and rescue unit, private homes and a farm building were damaged. Medical assistance was also provided to a 41-year-old woman who was injured during the attack on 3 May and will receive outpatient treatment. Damage to infrastructure was recorded in the Zelenodolsk community of the Kryvyi Rih district.
In the Sumy region, over the course of 24 hours, from the morning of 3 May to the morning of 4 May, nearly 40 strikes were recorded across 35 settlements in 15 territorial communities. In Shostka, multi-storey residential and non-residential buildings were damaged as a result of a drone attack. Rescue workers were on the ground, surveying the areas and assisting residents, including carrying out emergency repair work in the homes of people with reduced mobility.
In the Donetsk region, one person was killed in Oleksievo-Druzhkivka on 3 May as a result of shelling. Four more people were injured, three of them in Dobropillia and one in Druzhkivka.
