Russian strikes on regions of Ukraine have caused widespread damage to infrastructure

On the morning of 26 March, Russian troops attacked Kryvyi Rih and a number of other regions in Ukraine. Infrastructure has been damaged, and there are casualties in several regions.

Strike on Kryvyi Rih and the Dnipropetrovsk region

On the morning of 26 March, Russian forces struck Kryvyi Rih. An infrastructure facility was damaged; there are no reported casualties at this stage. The extent of the damage is being assessed, and the relevant services are on site.

According to updated information, the city was attacked by drones.

Overall, since the evening, the enemy has been striking several districts of the region. The Nikopol district, in particular the Marganetsk and Pokrovsk communities, came under attack.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, the Mykolaivska, Vasylkivska and Petropavlivska communities were attacked. Businesses were damaged, and a fire broke out in a private house. No one was injured.

Attack on the Odesa region

In the Odesa region, port, energy and industrial infrastructure was damaged as a result of the night-time attack.

Damage to equipment was recorded on the premises of enterprises, and fires broke out, which were extinguished by rescue services. One person was injured.

Power cuts are being reported in some settlements. Critical infrastructure has been switched to backup power, and restoration work is ongoing.

Sumy region

In the Sumy district, a 47-year-old man was injured when a drone struck a lorry.

In other settlements, private homes, administrative buildings, businesses, transport and energy infrastructure facilities have been damaged.

In the Velykopysarivska community of the Okhtyrka district, two people – a 60-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman – were injured by a drone strike. Residential buildings and civilian transport were damaged.

Kherson region

Over the past 24 hours, nine people were injured as a result of Russian strikes.

Settlements in the region came under fire. Three high-rise buildings, 10 private houses, gas pipelines, storage facilities and a private car were damaged.

Zaporizhzhia region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 662 strikes on 35 settlements in the region.

One person was injured as a result of an attack on the Zaporizhzhia district. There were 68 reports of damage to homes, infrastructure, cars and farm buildings.
