Russian strikes have caused damage to regions across Ukraine, with fatalities and dozens of casualties

During the night of 14 April and over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have attacked civilian, port, energy and residential infrastructure in several regions of Ukraine. The highest number of casualties has been reported in the Kherson, Sumy and Donetsk regions.

Odesa Region

During the night of 14 April, Russian drones launched a massive attack on civilian and port infrastructure in the south of the Odesa region. At the port of Izmail, a civilian vessel flying the Panamanian flag, a jetty, a barge and port equipment were damaged.

The strikes destroyed a service station building, after which a fire broke out. Two passenger coaches and seven cars were burnt out. The roofs of six private houses and an ambulance were also damaged.

According to local authorities and rescue services, there were no fatalities or injuries. The fire was extinguished, although the firefighters’ work was hampered by repeated air raid sirens.

Kharkiv region

In Kharkiv, a Russian drone struck a high-rise building in the Shevchenkivskyi district. The strike caused a fire. According to preliminary reports, the strike hit the upper floors of the building. A 44-year-old woman sought medical attention for an acute stress reaction.

Over the past 24 hours, the city of Kharkiv and 23 other settlements in the region have come under Russian attack. In total, one person was killed and 20 others were injured.

An apartment block in Kharkiv, private houses, farm buildings, cars, a farm, civilian enterprises, lorries, trailers, railway infrastructure, petrol stations and other facilities in the Bohodukhiv, Kupiansk, Kharkiv, Lozova and Chuhuiv districts were damaged. The transit evacuation centre in Lozova received 151 people over the past 24 hours.

Mykolaiv region

On the evening of 13 April, Russian forces attacked the Mykolaiv region with Shahed 131/136 drones. Energy infrastructure facilities were targeted. As a result of the attack, three settlements in the Mykolaiv district were left without power.

As of the morning of 14 April, one settlement remains completely without power, and another is partially without. Restoration work is ongoing. There were no casualties.

In addition, Russian forces attacked the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities four times using FPV drones. In the village of Dniprovske, a farm building and a car trailer were damaged. There were no casualties.

Zaporizhzhia region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian invaders carried out 875 strikes on 45 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. Two people were injured as a result of attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district: an 86-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl.

There were 76 reports of damage to infrastructure, homes and vehicles.

Dnipropetrovsk region

As of 7:30 am on 14 April, Russian forces had attacked the Nikopol, Synelnykiv and Kryvyi Rih districts of the region more than 10 times using drones and artillery. One person was injured.

In the Nikopol district, the communities of Nikopol, Pokrovska, Myrivska and Chervonohryhorivska were hit. A private house and a garden house were on fire. A 40-year-old man, who was injured in a strike on the district the previous afternoon, sought medical attention. He was treated and will receive outpatient care.

In the Mykolaiv community of the Synelnykivskyi district, infrastructure was damaged. Russian troops also attacked Kryvyi Rih, where a fire broke out and infrastructure was damaged.

Kherson region

In the Kherson region, two people were killed and 14 others were injured over the past 24 hours as a result of Russian strikes.

Four high-rise buildings, 14 private houses, mobile phone masts, an administrative building, private cars and an ambulance were damaged. Three people were evacuated from the liberated communities.

Sumy Region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 48 strikes on 31 settlements in the Sumy region. One person was killed and another was injured. A total of 121 explosions were recorded.

The enemy attacked the region with guided aerial bombs, strike drones and FPV drones, and also fired from multiple launch rocket systems, artillery, mortars and other weapons. Law enforcement agencies have opened criminal proceedings under the article on war crimes.

Meanwhile, the regional military administration reported that from the morning of 13 April to the morning of 14 April, Russian troops carried out over 80 strikes on 26 settlements across 14 communities in the region.

Medical assistance was also provided to four children – two four-year-old girls and boys aged 14 and 15 – who were injured as a result of a Russian drone attack in the Sumy community on 10 April. Over the past 24 hours, 16 people have been evacuated from border communities.

Donetsk region

In the Donetsk region over the past 24 hours, Russian troops killed one person in Kramatorsk. Three more people in the city were wounded.
