Russian troops have attacked Kherson, Chernihiv and Donetsk regions: civilians have been killed

During the night of 15 March and in the early hours of the morning, Russian forces launched attacks on several regions of Ukraine. Kherson, as well as towns and villages in the Chernihiv and Donetsk regions, came under fire.

The attacks have resulted in fatalities, injuries and significant damage to civilian infrastructure. This has been reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Kherson

Overnight in Kherson, a fire broke out in a five-storey residential building following artillery shelling. The fire engulfed flats on the third floor and balconies on various floors. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties.

In the morning, Russian troops attacked the city again. A minibus caught fire after being hit by a drone. Despite the threat of further strikes, firefighters extinguished the blaze. One man was injured during this attack.

Chernihiv region

In the Chernihiv region, Russian troops struck the Novhorod-Siverskyi district. A drone strike was recorded in one of the settlements, causing two residential buildings to catch fire.

Rescue workers quickly extinguished the fire. According to preliminary information, two local women — aged 85 and 67 — suffered acute stress reactions.

Donetsk region

Nine settlements in the Donetsk region came under fire: Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, as well as the villages of Hromova Balka, Zaporo-Marivka, Novooleksandrivka, Ocheretine and Serhiivka.

As a result of the attacks, 65 civilian facilities were damaged, 43 of which were residential buildings.

In particular, in Kostyantynivka, Russian troops shelled the town with artillery. One civilian was killed in the strike, and an apartment block was also damaged.

In Hromova Balka, Oleksandrivka community, an FPV drone struck a civilian vehicle. One person was killed and another injured as a result of the attack.

Russian forces attacked the city of Sloviansk with six drones of various types. As a result, two apartment blocks and 19 private homes were damaged, as well as nine civilian vehicles.

In Kramatorsk, a private house and a car were damaged by a drone strike. In Zapor-Marivka, three private houses were damaged, and in Serhiivka, a non-residential building was damaged.

In addition, two FPV drones damaged an apartment block and a civilian car in Druzhkivka.

Russian forces used an UMPB-5 aerial bomb in Novooleksandrivka. The strike damaged two apartment blocks and 14 private homes, two educational establishments, an administrative building, a church, a canteen, a shop, a cultural venue and two civilian vehicles.
