Russian troops attacked Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions overnight

On the night of 6 March and during the previous day, the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions came under Russian attack. There are casualties, fatalities, damage to residential buildings, infrastructure, businesses and transport.

The Dnipropetrovsk region was attacked last night by drones, artillery and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems. According to Alexander Ganzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, the Nikopol, Kryvyi Rih and Synelnykivskyi districts were targeted. Three people were injured, including a child.

In the Nikopol district, Russian troops attacked the communities of Nikopol, Myrivska and Pokrovska. Infrastructure, several administrative buildings, a business, shops, a hairdresser's, more than 20 multi-storey and private houses, buses, cars and trucks were damaged. A house, three farm buildings and a car were destroyed. A minor girl, a 66-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman were injured. According to Oleksandr Hanzi, all of them will be treated on an outpatient basis.

Fires broke out in Kryvyi Rih. Multi-storey buildings, a lyceum, an enterprise and an infrastructure facility were damaged. The head of the Kryvyi Rih Defence Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, reported that during the massive attack, several locations were hit, and one of the "Shahids" crashed into a nine-storey residential building. According to him, there were no casualties, people from the damaged apartments were evacuated, and the fires were extinguished.

Oleksandr Vilkul also specified that a total of about 30 residential buildings, four educational institutions, an infrastructure and business facility, and a private enterprise were damaged. According to him, the consequences could have been more serious, but the defence forces shot down 23 strike UAVs in the sky above the region. Aid centres have been set up in the city to help people in the Saksaganskyi district at a nearby school and in the Dovhyntsivskyi district next to the executive committee. There, people can obtain building materials and apply for financial assistance. There was no shelling in the Kryvyi Rih district during the night. According to Vilkul, all services, public transport, hospitals and social institutions are operating in Kryvyi Rih.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, in the Vasylkiv community, two private houses were destroyed and two more were damaged.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian troops carried out 642 strikes on 33 settlements during the day. This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov. According to him, 19 air strikes were carried out on Yurkivka, Veselyanka, Rozumivka, Barvynivka, Lisne, Zaliznychne, Vozdvyzhivka, Huliaipilske, Hirke, Kopani, Dolynka and Verkhnia Tersa.

Another 349 drones of various modifications, mainly FPV, attacked Zaporizhzhia, Novomykolaivka, Novooleksandrivka, Antonivka, Yurkivka, Stepnogorsk, Primorske, Stepove, Lukyanivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Myrne, Zelen, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, and Pryluky.

In addition, four rocket attacks were recorded in Yurkivka, Zaliznychne, Novodanilivka, and Mirne. Another 270 artillery strikes were recorded in Stepnogorsk, Primorske, Stepove, Lukyanivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Hulyaypole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohirya, Zelen, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, and Pryluky. There were 60 reports of damage to homes and infrastructure. No casualties were reported.

In the Kherson region, one person was killed and four others were wounded as a result of Russian shelling over the past day. According to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Dudchany, Shyroka Balka, Stanislav, Novodmytrivka, Piatykhatky, Zolota Balka, Antonivka, Vesele, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Komyshany, Lvove, Mykilsk, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Tokarivka, Tyaginka, Chervonyi Mayak, Yantarne, Oleksandrivka, Sofiivka, Veletenske, Burgunka, Kachkarivka, Novokairy, and the city of Kherson.

Russian troops struck social infrastructure and residential areas in the region. Three high-rise buildings and five private houses were damaged. Private cars were also destroyed.

Separately, Russian invaders attacked the central district of Kherson at night. A private house was severely damaged by a direct hit, with windows, walls and the roof destroyed. Surrounding houses were also damaged. As of this morning, there was no information about casualties as a result of this strike.

The Air Force reported that on the night of 6 March, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 141 strike drones of various types from several directions, including about 100 "suicide drones". As of 08:30, air defence forces shot down or suppressed 111 enemy UAVs in the north, south and east of the country. Twenty-four attack drones were recorded hitting 16 locations, and debris fell at one location.
