US intelligence has concluded that the Kremlin continues to seek control over Ukraine, despite Russia's significant losses and international pressure. Washington sees no signs of Moscow's readiness to give up the war

American intelligence services believe that Vladimir Putin's strategic goals in the war against Ukraine remain unchanged. Reuters reports this with reference to US intelligence assessments.

According to the US side, the Russian president remains determined to establish control over Ukraine and does not show any willingness to make a real compromise. The intelligence service notes that the Kremlin views the war as a long-term confrontation and is ready for further human and economic losses.

Washington emphasises that despite sanctions, international isolation and significant losses on the battlefield, the Russian leadership has not abandoned its original plans. On the contrary, Moscow continues to rely on the exhaustion of Ukraine and the West.

Intelligence assessments also indicate that Russia is trying to adapt its economy to the sanctions regime and support the war effort by mobilising resources and increasing arms production. At the same time, the war has already cost the Russian Federation hundreds of thousands of wounded and killed soldiers, as well as billions of dollars in losses.

The US emphasises that these findings are important for shaping further policy to support Ukraine, as they do not confirm hopes for a quick end to the war due to a change in the Kremlin's position.
