Russia has attacked nine regions of Ukraine in the past 24 hours; there have been fatalities and dozens of people have been injured
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out strikes on nine regions of Ukraine. The enemy used drones, artillery, guided aerial bombs and multiple launch rocket systems. The attacks have resulted in casualties, injuries and damage to civilian infrastructure.
Zaporizhzhia region
The highest number of strikes was recorded in the Zaporizhzhia region. Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 973 strikes on 45 settlements in the region. Four people were killed and a further 28 were injured. There were 249 reports of damage to homes, vehicles and infrastructure.
Sumy Region
Russian forces carried out nearly 90 strikes on 26 settlements across 19 communities in the Sumy Region. The Sumy, Shostka, Okhtyrka and Konotop districts were targeted.
In the Seredyna-Budsk community, three women aged 69, 62 and 57, and a 48-year-old man were injured. The 69-year-old woman died in an ambulance.
In the Velyka Pysarivka community, a 77-year-old man was killed as a result of a drone strike. In the Khutir-Mykhailivka community, a 65-year-old man was injured when a drone struck his car.
In the Sumy community, a 48-year-old woman, a 72-year-old man, and two women aged 78 and 61 were injured as a result of drone attacks.
Kharkiv Oblast
Kharkiv and 24 settlements in the oblast came under attack. Two people were killed and a further 26 were injured, including two children.
Russian drones attacked the Kyivskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts of Kharkiv. A large-scale fire broke out in a warehouse in the Kholodnohirskyi district. In the city, two blocks of flats, a garage, a petrol station and a warehouse were damaged.
Kherson region
The Russian army attacked 43 settlements in the Kherson region with drones and artillery. Five people were injured as a result of the strikes. Four people were evacuated from the liberated communities.
Dnipropetrovsk region
Russian troops attacked the Nikopol and Kam’yanske districts more than ten times using drones and artillery.
In the Nikopol district, the communities of Nikopol, Marganetsk, Myrivka, Pokrovsk and Chervonohryhorivka were targeted. Private homes were damaged.
In the Kamyanske district, Russian forces struck the P’yatykhatska community. A fire broke out there, and an administrative building and infrastructure facilities were damaged. No one was injured.
Poltava Oblast
In the Poltava district, a petrol station caught fire following a drone strike. One person was injured.
In the Myrhorod district, an enemy UAV crashed onto the premises of one of the enterprises. No one was injured. The attack caused a partial power cut affecting consumers in the Hadyach community.
Kirovohrad Oblast
In Kropyvnytskyi, on the evening of 28 June, Russian forces struck one of the infrastructure facilities. A fire broke out, which was extinguished by the emergency services. There were no fatalities or injuries.
Mykolaiv Oblast
Russian forces attacked the oblast using drones, guided bombs and artillery. Fires broke out in dry grass and wheat fields in the Mykolaiv and Voznesensk districts.
In the Halytsynivska community, in the village of Ukrainka, a private house was damaged. The Ochakivska and Kutsurubska communities were also hit. There were no casualties.
