Furthermore, in July and August, new anti-drone measures will be deployed along the borders with Belarus and the Russian Federation, which will reduce the need for aircraft.

The agreement between Latvia and Ukraine on cooperation in the field of unmanned systems provides for joint production, under which such a facility is to be established near Latvia’s border with Russia.

This was announced by Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs, according to Delfi.

Kulbergs explained that the agreement with Ukraine on cooperation in the field of unmanned systems, signed in early June, includes provisions for joint production. In particular, there are plans for the rapid construction of such a facility near Latvia’s border with the Russian Federation.

The Prime Minister noted that the government will do everything necessary to ensure that this facility can be located near the border. Kulbergs pointed out that this region needs economic activity, investment and jobs.
